Glory of glories:
The Son shining on high.
Glory of glories:
Though far, He is nigh.

For Jesus reigns
High in Heaven above;
Yet surely He is near
To all He does love.

The highest Heavens
His Presence cannot contain;
Yet in our hearts
He does surely remain.

He dwells in His children,
Yea, in us He does abide;
He wraps us in His love,
Tenderly He does guide.

How can this be,
How can this be so?
How can the Creator of all
I intimately know?

Surely I am not deserving,
Surely He is far too great;
Yet surely God is with me,
Though me He did create.

The stars sing of His glory,
The sun shines with His light;
The universe shows His wisdom
In division of day and night.

Every star He has named,
My hairs are numbered too;
How my heart adores my God,
Yea, Lord, how much I love You.

So I shall sing of Your glory
All my life, all my days;
I shall sing of Your love,
My life is a song of Your praise.

Dance I shall in sunshine,
Rejoice I shall with clapping trees;
Live for You I shall, my Lord –
Every moment for You to please.

The highest of the Heavens
Your Presence cannot contain;
Yet in my lowly heart, Jesus,
All the while You do remain.

Yes, You reign, my Beloved,
High in Heaven above;
Yet surely You are near to me,
Surely me You do love.

O, glory of glories:
You, the Son, shine on high.
Glory of glories:
Though far, to me You are nigh.

Summer Son~shine

Summer Son-shine

 Summer Son~shine: A Christian Summer Poem

Summer Son-shine

Sunshine by Samarttiw

(Send as an Inspirational Christian e-Card!)

Summertime arrives,

Days lengthen in the sun,

Warmth, joy and light

We find in the Eternal One.

Summer now it is,

Come and dance with me;

Summer now it is,

Glory my eyes do see.

We experience in winter

Days barren and gray;

We prepare then for the light

Of this summer day.

Surely we see our Lord

In this seasonal parade;

Yea, surely we see Jesus

In seasons He has made.

Sing in joy with me now,

Brother, sister and friend –

The love of our Lord Jesus

We see has no end.

Summer is but a glimpse

Of our life in eternity,

For in the New Jerusalem

As summer it will be.

Only day there will be,

No longer dark of night;

We shall live in the glory

Of the Son’s eternal light.

In the summer season

We feel this more than any other.

Rejoice then in summer sun,

My dear sister and brother.

Summer now it is,

The Son shines on you, on me;

Summer now it is,

Christ’s glory we do see.

Yea, summer is here,

A sparkling glimpse of the Son,

We celebrate eternal life and love

We know in the One.

Grace upon Grace

Waterfall by Nicholas Tarling

(Send as an Inspirational Christian e-card!)

Grace upon grace,
Lord, You lavish upon me;
Grace upon grace,
All I feel, hear and see.

Like dew drops kissing
The early morning ground,
So too I feel Your graces
Shower all around.

You don me with courage,
You embrace me with love,
You fill me with joy,
You prepare treasures above.

You cloak me with truth,
You show all that is right,
You carry me in storms,
You protect in the night.

You kiss my forehead,
You remind me tenderly
I am Yours forever,
Yea, for all eternity.

You prepare a wedding feast,
You long for us to unite;
You anoint me with Your Spirit,
You robe me in linens white.

Not by my own doing,
Not by works of my hand –
It is by Your precious blood
I shall see the Promised Land.

Your glorious grace, my Jesus,
Ever amazes my heart,
You shed all Your blood for me
That we would never part.

I look upon Your Cross,
I behold the bloody tree,
For therein I see Your grace:
My Lord, You died for me.

Surely no grace is richer
Than the grace I know in You;
Surely no love is deeper
Than love shown by all You do.

I shall sing of You, my Jesus,
I shall proclaim Your grace:
Your blood You poured for all,
Yea, for all the human race.

I speak of You with courage,
I embrace You with love,
I serve You with joy,
My heart is with You above.

Like dew drops kissing
The early morning ground,
So too I feel Your graces
Shower all around.

Grace upon grace,
Lord, You lavish upon me;
I give You all my life then,
Jesus, take all of me.

Krka Waterfall by Michal Marcol

 (Send as Inspirational Christian e-card!)

Reflections from the leaves,
Green and bright,
Branches waving
In the glorious light.

Glory to God,
Clapping trees say,
Glory to God
On this glorious day.

The birds echo this song,
Dance does the butterfly,
Streams splash with praise
Of God on High.

I join them in song,
My natural friends,
For surely their love
For God never ends.

Season after season,
Year after year,
The joy of their symphony
Rings ever clear.

They do not tire,
Their song grows not old,
No coin do they bear,
Yet richer than gold.

For they live by God’s will,
The bird and the tree,
They live by His word,
Bringing Him glory.

With them I shall
Sing all my days,
With them I shall
Lift songs of praise.

I shall joyfully clap
With the trees,
I shall live for God,
His heart to please.

With the birds too
I shall sing,
Glory to God,
My Father, my King.

With the butterfly
Dance shall I,
Grateful to be loved
By the Most High.

Surely life is a song,
Yea, a sweet symphony,
Life is a song
To bring God glory.

The birds echo this song,
Dance does the butterfly,
Streams splash with praise
Of God on High.

Glory to God,
I hear the trees say,
Glory to God
On this glorious day.

So with waving leaves,
Green and bright,
I praise my sweet Jesus
And His glorious Light.

My Jesus

 (Send as an Inspirational Christian eCard!)

Eyes like jewels,
Face radiant as the sun,
Such is my Jesus,
Such is my One.

Smile sweet as honey,
Voice soothing as the sea,
Such is my Jesus,
My Love for eternity.

Hands soft as the flower,
Feet perfect as they guide,
Such is my Jesus,
As I walk by His side.

Yea, such is my Jesus,
No person lovelier than He;
Yea, such is my Jesus,
He is Everything to me.

I sing of His glory,
I sing of His love,
I sing of His Spirit
Descending as a dove.

I rejoice in His mercy,
I rejoice in His care,
I rejoice in His provision,
Yea, forever He is near.

I worship Him in awe,
I worship Him in adoration,
I worship Him in joy,
In sweet celebration.

My Jesus is more precious
Than this world and all within;
He is the spotless Lamb of God
Bearing all my sin.

How can I contain ever
The joy of Jesus in my heart?
How can I marvel not
That He and I shall never part?

Surely my Jesus is amazing,
Surely He inspires my mind,
Surely He is my Treasure,
Priceless for me to find.

Take me, my Jesus,
I am Yours forevermore;
My life is Yours now, Lord,
You I worship and adore.

I shall follow You, my Jesus,
Wherever You shall go;
I vow to cling to You,
My love will ever grow.

Your love sweetly embraces,
A sight lovelier I will not see
Than You, my sweet Jesus:
You are Everything to me.

Your precious hand I hold
As You perfectly guide;
I travel with You, my Jesus,
I walk forever by Your side.

Your smile warms my heart,
Your voice soothes as the sea,
Your whispers enthrall,
You are my Love for eternity.

Yea, Your eyes are as jewels,
Your face radiant as the sun,
I love with all I am:
My Jesus, You are my One.

Red Autumn Leaves by Simon Howden

More lovely is the sound
Of the birds in song,
Since I met You,
Since to You I belong.

More blue is the sky,
More brilliant the sun,
Since I met You,
Since I found the One.

More green is the grass,
More fragrant the flower,
Since I met You,
Since I feel Your power.

More refreshing the rain,
More delightful the breeze,
Since I met You,
My heart ever You please.

More joyful the tree,
More glorious the hill,
Since I met You,
My longings You fill.

More exuberant the music
Of the splashing waterfall
Since I met You,
My All in all.

More delightful each day,
More restful each night,
More lovely each moment,
More spectacular each sight.

More beautiful are all things,
Since I met You;
My Jesus, You beautify
All I say, think and do.

Your countenance radiant
Shines all ‘round me;
Yea, the glory of Your face
Is in all I see.

The tenderness of Your touch
Ever do I feel.
Transcending my thought,
Yet ever true and real.

The music of Your voice
Resonates in all I hear –
Singing to my soul,
Ringing ever clear.

The captivating fragrance
Of You, the Sharon Rose,
I smell all around me
As my love ever grows.

Surely all things are lovely
Since You and I did meet;
Surely all things
You make divinely sweet.

So sing I shall of You,
And I offer You my life;
I proclaim Your praises
Through both joy and strife.

Your touch sweetens
Even seasons of pain;
Surely You bring Light
Even in the rain.

More lovely for You,
Beloved, I long to be;
I place all in Your hands,
Lord, take all of me.

Surrendered to You,
May I be fragrant as the flower,
As I yield all to You,
Embracing Your power.

For Your glory alone,
May I shine as the sun:
I live no longer for me,
But for You, Eternal One.

And since I met You I join
With the birds in song;
I sing of my Jesus,
To Whom I forever belong.

Glory to God

Glory to GOD

Glory to God

(Send as an Inspirational Christian eCard!)

Glory to God,

My heart now sings,

Glory to God,

The King of kings!

Surely My Lord

Forever does reign;

He refreshes my heart

Again and again.

In His arms I feel comfort,

In His eyes I see light,

In His heart I see love,

Shining through night.

He brightens and beautifies

All He does touch;

Out of His bounty,

Giving immeasurably much.

Who is this One,

The One for Whom I sing?

Who is this One,

This Heavenly King?

Surely my Jesus

This title assumes;

Surely His love

Enthralls and consumes.

Surely He leads,

Surely He guides,

Surely in my heart

He forever abides.

And surely He is King,

Surely He Lord of all,

Surely I shall follow

His heartwarming call.

For my life and peace

He chose to suffer and die;

For my own forgiveness

Him they did crucify.

How can there be a King

More lovely than He?

More than His own life

Is how much He loves me.

I shall give my all to Him

Without hint of reservation;

I shall live for Him,

Rejoicing in celebration.

For I dwell with the King,

I am loved by God on High;

Forever to my own heart

I shall keep Him nigh.

In His arms I feel comfort,

In His eyes I see light,

In His heart I see love,

Shining through night.

Surely My Beloved

Forever does reign;

He refreshes my heart

Again and again.

Yea, Glory to God,

My heart forever sings,

Glory, Glory to God,

Jesus is King of kings!

Thank You for sunshine,
For the waving leaves of trees;
Thank You for the songs of birds
Ever my ears to please.

Thank You for the flowers,
Blossoming bright in the fields;
Thank You for the harvest,
Bounty the earth yields.

Thank You for the rivers,
The rushing waters of streams;
Thank You for the oceans,
In which colorful life teems.

Thank You for the forests,
Plush and vast and green;
Thank You for Your Design:
Showing Unseen in the seen.

Thank You for creating man,
For loving him without measure.
Thank You for coming to us, Jesus,
Indeed our Greatest Treasure.

Thank You for eternal life,
Known by faith in You, the Son;
Thank You for the Truth,
Words of You, the Eternal One.

Thank You for the Cross,
Upon which You willingly died;
Thank You for salvation
Through the blood of You, crucified.

Thank You for Your Sacrifice,
For the Cross You did embrace;
Thank You for enduring torture
That we may know Your grace.

Thank You for Your love,
Love which I cannot comprehend;
Thank You for the blessings
You ever generously send.

Yes, thank You, Lord Jesus,
I thank You with all my heart;
Innumerable are Your graces:
I oft not know where to start.

Limitless is Your love,
Immeasurable is Your grace,
Boundless are Your blessings,
Delighting me in their embrace.

Thank You, my Master,
For being wondrously You;
I thank You by giving You my all,
For it is only natural to do.

Thank You, and I love You,
Yea, more than this life I live;
Thank You, my Jesus,
All to You I humbly give.

Thank You for Your rivers,
Your Living Water streams;
Thank You for Your joy,
Which in my heart now teems.

Thank You for the flowers,
Blossoming in my heart-field;
Thank You for the victory
When all to You I yield.

Thank You for Son-shine,
Light bringing me to my knees;
Thank You for Your love,
Forever I live that You I please.

Led by the Spirit

Led by the Spirit of God

LED BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD

Led by the Spirit,

Lord, may I be –

Led by the Spirit,

Yea, for Your glory.

For the flesh

I live no more;

I live in the Spirit

For the One I adore.

Holy Spirit, move me

Wherever You desire;

Spirit, burn in me,

An unquenchable fire.

Warm my heart

With Your eternal love;

Light up my eyes

With visions of Above.

Fill my ears

With music of Your voice;

Move my lips,

That in song I rejoice.

Yea, Spirit of God,

I follow where You lead;

Spirit of love,

Your every word I heed.

With joy I live for You,

With delight I do Your will;

Each day more in love

With You I grow still.

Glorious truth

That in me You do reign;

Yea, this joy of joys

My soul cannot contain.

For the Spirit of God,

He Himself lives in me;

I am His sacred temple,

With Him forever I shall be.

Lead me to the mountains,

Lead me to the shore,

Lead me anywhere, Lord,

For it is You I adore.

Your Spirit I embrace,

Your Spirit I enthrone,

Your Spirit I worship,

Your Spirit is my own.

Yea, one with You,

As You live in me;

One with my Beloved

For all eternity.

Follow You I shall

Wherever You desire;

In my heart You burn

As an unquenchable fire.

For my own flesh,

Master, I live no more;

I live in Your Spirit

For it is You I adore.

Yea, led by Your Spirit,

Jesus, I rejoice to be –

Led by Your Spirit,

For Your eternal glory.

Purposeful Pathway

Purposeful Pathway

Purposeful Pathway: Your Journey with Jesus

(Send as an Inspirational Christian e-card!)

Step by step,

Day after day,

I traverse with my Lord

This purposeful pathway.

Grateful I am

For this holy ground,

Which by His grace

I have wondrously found.

Plush and green,

It is lined with trees –

And fragrance of flowers

Dances in the breeze.

Adorning the path too

Are waterfalls and fountains,

Rushing rivers and streams

And majestic mountains.

Birds soar in the sky,

They sing this song,

“Glory, Glory to God,

On this path you belong.”

For my Savior Himself

Planted this path for me;

This purposeful pathway

He planned from eternity.

The twists and turns,

Intentional are they;

All is ever perfect

In the Lord’s pathway.

The trees standing tall,

Toward Heaven stretch high,

Remind me to embrace

My Lord to me nigh.

The colorful gardens,

Yes, each vibrant flower,

Remind me of my Jesus

And His beautiful power.

The waterfalls and fountains

With rushing water pure

Remind me of Living Water:

God gives Life to endure.

The view from the mountain,

Towering in its height,

Lifts my soul to Heaven,

Makes my heart take flight.

Even in the cold corners

And the damp, dark valley,

I marvel how the Lord’s Light

My eyes always see.

Jesus, take my hand:

I follow wherever You go.

On mountaintop and in valley

Your eternal love does show.

Each step that I take,

Beloved, I take for You;

I offer You all I am,

All I say, think and do.

No sweeter gift to me

Than to travel Hand-in-hand;

No greater purpose for me

Than to travel as You planned.

My will is one with Yours,

For You I long to please.

I shall travel anywhere:

Mountains, valleys, seas.

This pathway of purpose

My heart does treasure;

To do the Will of my Lord,

This is my good pleasure.

So rejoice with birds

I shall with their song,

“Glory, Glory to God,

On this path I belong.”

I marvel at this way

Beautifully lined with trees –

And the fragrance of flowers

Dancing in the breeze.

I delight in traversing

This holy ground,

I delight in my Lord’s voice:

How sweet the sound.

Yes, step by step,

Day after day,

I cling to Your hand, Jesus,

On this purposeful pathway.
