Peace, Sweet Peace

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” ~ John 14:27

Peace, sweet peace

Through my soul flows,

For Jesus controls all,

This my heart knows.

Winds may be cold,

Storms may rage,

Yet Jesus brings peace,

Every fear to assuage.

Pain may confront me,

Trials may beset,

Loneliness may challenge

With tears and regret.

Yet none can stand

Against Jesus’ power,

So peace, sweet peace,

I know every hour.

Won’t you, dear one,

Know His peace too?

Won’t you allow Jesus

To care for you?

Your tears He dries,

Your pain He erases,

Your worries He melts

With His warm embraces.

So come, my friend,

Jesus let us praise,

For He is the Source

Of our peace always.

Winds may be cold,

The storms may rage,

But He reigns with victory

From age to age.

Yea, peace, sweet peace,

Through our souls will flow

As in Lord Jesus’ steps

We choose to follow!

Poem: Colorful Changes

Colorful Changes

Sunshine streams

Through colorful leaves,

Songs of change

Whisper in the breeze,

Rhythms rejoice

In the leaves rustling,

Happiness hums

In the children bustling,

Aroma of ciders

Dances upon the air,

Autumn skies burst

With blue bright and clear,

And all around me,

Yes, everywhere I go,

Your love, O Lord,

Does radiantly show.

In the lovely seasons

As they progress,

Your wisdom, my Jesus,

I humbly confess.

Like the seasons

May I be faithful too,

Showing in all things

My deep love for You.

Like the leaves

May I gratefully release

All I know

That Your heart I please.

Like the skies

May I allow Your light

To shine through me

With glory and might.

And like the children

Happy in this season,

May I remember my joy

Is rooted in One Reason,

Yes, as happiness hums

In the children bustling,

As rhythms rejoice

In the leaves rustling,

And as sunshine streams

Through colorful leaves,

I sing of Your love

That brings me to my knees!

Colorful changes abound in Autumn and in every season, as Jesus continually changes and renews us for the highest good. How do you celebrate these colorful changes?

Precious are the moments

I share with You,

Savoring Your every word,

Delighting in all You do.

Timeless are the treasures

You share with me,

Refreshing my soul,

Whispering of eternity.

Luminous is the light

On my path You shine,

Paving every step

With Your love divine.

Radiant are the riches

Upon me You shower,

Reminding me always

Of grace and power.

Sweet are the skies

That You paint above

With clouds dancing freely

In timeless love.

Yes, precious and timeless,

Luminous and sweet,

Are the blessings I find

As I kneel at Your feet.

For everything is Yours,

All is under Your reign,

So in Your presence

All good things I gain.

The loveliest gift

Is the life You give,

You poured of Yourself

That I would live.

So I sing of treasures

You share with me,

I praise Your Name

For all eternity.

Yes, Jesus, I rejoice

In all I have in You;

You are my inspiration,

The joy in all I do!

Jesus, we love You for all You do!

Poem: Open Your Eyes

“Ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds of the air, and they will tell you; or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish of the sea inform you. Which of these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this? In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind.” ~ Job 12:7-10

Look at the birds,

What do you see?

Do you appreciate a dance

Orchestrated by Me?

Listen closely to the sea,

What do you hear?

Do you sense My symphony

Splashing ever clear?

Breathe deep in the garden,

What do you smell?

Do you taste Heaven

More than words tell?

Embrace the sunshine,

What do you feel?

Do you experience love

Ever perfect, ever real?

Yes, look and listen closely,

Breathe, feel and taste,

Let no precious moment

Ever go to waste.

For all around you,

In each and every thing,

Are wondrous windows

To my endless blessing.

I love you immeasurably,

So My gifts abound;

Open your eyes to miracles

Unfolding all around.

Listen closely to the sea,

Be still to hear

My sweet eternal symphony

Splashing ever clear.

And as the birds dance,

Delight in what you see,

For these gifts, My child,

Open your eyes to Me.

Timeless are the treasures

I have in You,

Forever is Your love,

Perfect and true.

Remarkable Your radiance,

Sublime Your light,

Immeasurable Your mercy,

Eternal Your might.

Precious Your promises,

Perfect Your way,

Wonderful Your wisdom,

Every word You say.

Yes, timeless are Your treasures,

Lord Jesus, my King,

Sweet is Your symphony,

The song You sing.

So for You I live,

In You I rejoice,

Happily I sing,

Lifting my voice.

Gratefully I travel

On pathways You pave,

Sharing with all

How You lovingly save.

Yea, rejoicing in Your radiance,

Singing in Your light,

Marveling Your mercy,

Your immeasurable might,

I embrace Your love

So perfect and true…

O, timeless are treasures, Jesus,

I have in You!

Smiling so wide,

Singing so free,

Delighting so deep

In Your love for me,

Dancing for joy,

Clapping with praise,

Marveling Your grace

Abounding always,

Sharing with love,

Speaking of You,

“Jesus” beats in my heart

In all I do.

Why this song,

Why this sweet delight

Filling my heart

Through day and night?

Because You, my Jesus,

Love me so;

Everywhere I look

Your love does show.

In the birds flying,

In the waves crashing,

In the rainbow stretching,

In the stream splashing,

Yes, everything ‘round

Shows me Your love

Flowing forever

From Heaven above.

So I dance for joy,

I clap with praise,

I marvel Your grace

Now and always.

Yea, I smile so wide,

I sing so free,

Because Jesus, O Jesus,

You love me.

We love because He loved us first. How do you express your love?

A treasure you are,

Yea, a treasure you are to me,

Open your eyes, My child,

I will let you see:

More valuable to Me

Than all stars in the sky,

Lovelier to Me

Than mountains stretching high;

More beautiful to Me

Than flowers of the fields;

More radiant to Me

Than light the sun yields.

Yes, a treasure you are,

This, child, please know;

I will wrap you in My care

Every step you may go.

Do not worry,

Do not let your eyes tear,

Embrace My love,

Do not ever fear.

For if you are to Me

Worth many a sparrow,

Will I not provide for you

On My straight and narrow?

As You are more valuable

Than all stars in the sky,

Lovelier to Me

Than mountains stretching high;

Yea, a treasure you are,

A treasure you are to me;

Look in My eyes, child,

There My love you will see!

Poem: Autumn Glory

Chills on my skin,

I feel an Autumn breeze,

Red, gold and orange

Glow upon the trees.

The air is crisp,

Refreshing to breathe in,

Excitement stirs in my heart

As starts a new season.

Lord Jesus, I marvel

The rhythm You create,

Surely but a glimpse

Behind Heaven’s gate.

With perfection and beauty

The seasons do dance;

Each one has its glory,

Each one its chance.

So amidst these changes,

As trees are cloaked in glory,

I remember all is Yours,

Your unfolding story.

The refreshing air,

The trees of red and gold,

Sing a song of Your love,

Extending from days of old.

The cool Autumn air

I delight to breathe in;

Excitement stirs in my heart

As starts a new season.

Yes, my Lord Jesus,

As I feel an Autumn breeze,

The glory of Your presence

Brings me to my knees!

Happy Harmony

Come now, my friend,

Listen with me:

Do you hear that song

In the sway of the tree?

Do you feel that joy

In the bird’s sweet song?

Do you see eternity

In fields wide and long?

Do you taste Heaven

In warming sun rays?

Do you feel excitement

On unfolding pathways?

Come now with me,

These blessings let us savor;

They are priceless gifts,

Signs of God’s favor.

Let us sing to Him

A song heartfelt and sweet,

For His love is in all

Whom we see and meet.

Let us dance with delight

In fields wide and long;

Let us harmonize happily

With the bird’s song.

Yes, come now, my friend,

Celebrate with me:

Forever we are Jesus’,

Yes, for all eternity!
