Peace, sweet peace
Through my soul flows,
For Jesus controls all,
This my heart knows.
Winds may be cold,
Storms may rage,
Yet Jesus brings peace,
Every fear to assuage.
Pain may confront me,
Trials may beset,
Loneliness may challenge
With tears and regret.
Yet none can stand
Against Jesus’ power,
So peace, sweet peace,
I know every hour.
Won’t you, dear one,
Know His peace too?
Won’t you allow Jesus
To care for you?
Your tears He dries,
Your pain He erases,
Your worries He melts
With His warm embraces.
So come, my friend,
Jesus let us praise,
For He is the Source
Of our peace always.
Winds may be cold,
The storms may rage,
But He reigns with victory
From age to age.
Yea, peace, sweet peace,
Through our souls will flow
As in Lord Jesus’ steps
We choose to follow!
