I Am The Way

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me…” (John 14:6)

Child, why do you

Search the way to go?

Do you not know

The way I will show?

I am the life,

The truth, the way,

I will lead you, little one,

Yes, every day,

I will keep you on track

Toward Heaven’s gate,

Inspiring your heart

To sing and celebrate.

So take My hand,

So much I love you,

Follow My path

Perfect and true,

Walk with Me,

Stay here by My side,

In My sacred heart

Joyfully abide,

Embrace the beauty

Of this path I pave:

I love, I bless,

I inspire, I save.

Come, little one,

This path celebrate,

For I lead you onward

Toward Heaven’s gate,

Follow Me closely,

Hear the words I say,

As I am your life,

I am the way,

Yes, I am the way,

So this way follow,

As eternal joy

You will surely know!

“Yet you are near, LORD, and all your commands are true.” (Psalm 119:151)

Sweet child of mine,
If you only knew
Always how close
I am to you,

How near I am
Throughout the day,
How I am next to you
Paving the way,

How I am smiling
To hold your hand,
How I unfold for you
All I have planned…

Yes, if you knew
How close I am always,
Endless would be
Your joy, your praise,

Perfect your peace,
Rich your love,
Fastened your eyes
On heaven above.

So I ask you now
My closeness to feel,
How strong it is,
How divine and real,

How sweet it is
To hold my hand,
How happy to embrace,
All I have planned,

How blissful it is
To walk this pathway,
How blessed it is
To hear all I say…

Yes, sweet child,
Know this to be true:
Each and every moment
I am close to you!

Crisp morning air,

Whispers of change,

Glory of seasons

You beautifully arrange,

Songs in the winds,

Celebrations in the sky,

Expectations of new things

Sparkle in my eye,

Colors transforming,

Leaves aglow,

Fragrance of Autumn

Wherever I go…

Yes, in the crisp air

My heart soars with delight,

In Your arms, Jesus,

My spirit takes flight,

For surely You whisper

In this season new,

You speak of treasures

Timeless and true,

You assure me

Good things await

When You and Your love

I celebrate.

So as the seasons

Change now blissfully,

I sing to everyone

All You do for me,

I share of Your love

Wherever I go,

As my eyes sparkle,

As my heart is aglow,

I keep my eyes fixed

On the heavenly sky,

For You alone, Jesus,

Make my heart fly…

Yes, the seasons

Joy fills my heart,

Love abounds each day,

Blessings grace the steps

Of my pathway,

Hope uplifts my soul,

Peace comforts my mind,

Beauty and bliss

Are in all that I find,

Wisdom enriches thoughts,

Happiness sings in all I do…

Why, sweet Lord Jesus?

Because I have You!

Yes, You are my joy,

My song to sing,

My happiness, my bliss,

My endless blessing,

My unfailing hope,

My peace to endure,

Yes, everything lovely,

Everything pure.

So I lift my heart

In grateful adoration,

I sing a song

Of love and adoration,

I rejoice in all things,

In all that I do,

I sing of Your treasures

Timeless and true,

I share Your love

With all mankind,

As Your sweet love

Captivates my mind…

Yes, joy fills my heart,

Love abounds each day,

Because You are with me

Melodies of birds

Play around me,

Gentle breezes

Dance through the tree,

Sunshine embraces,

Blue skies stretch above,

Green fields invite

With refreshing love,

Joyful music plays

Deep in my heart…

To count God’s blessings,

Where can I start?

For His goodness

Is all around,

His sweet mercies

Surely abound,

His tender touch

Is in everything,

His happy voice

Makes the birds sing,

His endless grace

Kisses each flower,

His majesty radiates

In mountains that tower.

Yes, God’s goodness

Is here and everywhere,

Inspiring every bliss,

Drying every tear.

From our Father

All goodness starts,

Refreshing our spirits,

Uplifting our hearts,

Reminding us of heaven,

Of treasures above,

Filling our hearts with joy,

With limitless love…

Yes, as birds sing

Joyfully in the tree,

Let us sing of God’s goodness

My love for you, child,

Do you now see?

It is dancing for you

In leaves of the tree,

It is smiling for you

In rays of the sun,

It is delighting with you

In moments of fun,

It is calling to you

In the bird’s song,

It is embracing you

In fields stretching long…

Yes, my love

Is all around you,

Kissing the moments

Through all that you do,

Touching your soul,

Inspiring your mind,

Moving your heart

To be loving and kind.

So, little one,

Take My gentle hand,

Embrace all I give,

All I have planned,

For surely I give

Only what is love,

I share with you

Treasures from above.

My love for you

Is deep and long,

Sweeter than the sweetest

Songbird’s song,

Happier than happiest

Moments of fun,

Brighter than brightest

Rays of the sun…

Yes, My child,

My love do you see?

My little child,

Come now to hear

The sound of the ocean

Splashing so clear,

The sound of the breeze

Dancing through trees,

The sounds of gulls

Over the seas,

The sounds of children

Happy at play,

The sounds of birds

On a beautiful day…

Yes, little child,

Come now to see

My blessings of bliss,

My graces of beauty,

For these are the things

Which make life sweet:

The feeling of sand

Beneath your feet,

The peaceful lake,

The mountain high,

The verdant grass,

The brilliant sky,

The smile of a baby,

The song of a child,

The rhythm of the ocean,

Melodic and mild.

Yes, little child,

These gifts do savor,

Embrace my blessings,

Embrace my favor,

As I am the Giver

Of all good things,

Inspiring your spirit

To fly on wings,

To lift you high

When you are down,

To transform to smiles

Your every frown.

So as a child

Ever happy at play,

Embrace My gifts

On your purposeful way,

Smile joyfully

At the dance of trees,

Sing with the gulls

Of the happy seas,

Yes, clap with the waves

Splashing so clear…

I Trust in You, Jesus

“When I am afraid, I will put my trust in You.” (Psalm 56:3)

When I am afraid,

I will trust in You,

Sweet Lord Jesus,

I promise to.

On whom else can I call?

To whom else can I cling

Who else to me

Gives everything?

Who else will wipe

The tears from my eyes?

Who else will dry

The rain in the skies?

Yes, when I am afraid,

I will trust in Your name,

For with You, my Lord,

Nothing is the same.

The gray days grow

Luminously bright,

The sunshine glows

Through dark of night,

The joyful songs spring

From depths of sorrows,

Mournful yesterdays

Become blissful tomorrows,

Endless valleys

Become tops of the mount,

The parched desert

Becomes the flowing fount…

So here and now

When the tears do fall,

Your Name, Sweet Jesus,

I do call.

Surely You wipe

The tears from my eyes,

Your kisses fall

As rain from the skies,

And to Your hand

I joyfully cling,

As surely to me

You give everything…

Yes, when I am afraid,

I know what to do:

Poem: Sunshine You Are to Me

Sunshine You Are to Me

“Again Jesus spoke to them, saying,
‘I am the light of the world.
Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness,
but will have the light of life.'” (John 8:12)

When dark and gray

Are the clouds above me,

When tossed are the branches

Of the tree,

When deeply quiet

Is the bird’s song,

When the wind blows

Fierce and strong,

When rain falls

Upon the ground,

When dampness and cold

Seem to abound,

I cry out for You,

Your Name I call,

Asking You to save me

From it all,

To lift me high

In Your arms,

Where Your embrace

Wonderfully warms,

To dry my tears,

To kiss away the rain,

To wash away my hurt,

To erase my pain,

To sing of Heaven,

To smile with Your love,

To remind me of treasures

Waiting high above…

And suddenly sunshine

Seems to abound,

For eternal light

In Your eyes I’ve found,

Your Voice, my Jesus,

Is the sweetest song,

In Your arms

I forever belong,

Yes, when dark and gray

Are the clouds above me,

I rejoice in the Sunshine

You are to me!

Poem: Comfort of Christ

Comfort of Christ

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” (2 Corinthians 1:3-4)

When challenges encounter,

When trials beset me,

When obstacles and mountains

Are all that I see,

When my heart aches,

When tears brim in my eye,

When I long to escape,

To be free and to fly,

I look up to You,

Your Name I call,

I ask You to lift me

When I stumble and fall…

You smile at me,

You reach out Your hand,

You remind me lovingly

Only good You planned,

You show me the horizon

So beautiful and bright,

You kiss my pathway

With Your sweet sunlight,

You whisper of heaven,

Of treasures in store,

You show I have everything,

Indeed even more.

Yes, You dry my tears,

You kiss away each one

With soft sparkling rays

Of the shining sun.

So I need not worry

When I stumble and fall,

As You are here with me

Always through it all,

You bring joy to my heart,

A sparkle to my eye,

You set my soul free

To soar and to fly…

Yes, beautiful bliss

Is now the vista I see,

As You, my sweet Jesus,

Are here with me!
