Children
“Children are a heritage from the LORD, offspring a reward from him.” ~ Psalm 127:3
With wide, bright eyes,
Looking up with love,
Surely children are gifts
From our Father above.
With simple faith,
With trust strong and pure,
With a tender love
All things to endure,
Surely little children
Reflect God’s eternal light,
Desiring all that is good,
Indeed all that is right.
So let us treasure them,
On God’s way let us lead,
With His Holy Word
Their hearts let us feed.
For when we train a child
In the way he should go,
Through all his years
That way he will follow.
Children are entrusted to us
By our Father’s grace,
So let these precious children
Our hearts embrace.
The Kingdom of Heaven
Let us welcome as a child;
Let us be humble and meek,
Pure, loving and mild.
With adoration let us listen
At Jesus’ feet,
Emulating our children
With love pure and sweet.
As children of God
Let us reflect His eternal light,
Doing all that is good,
Doing only what is right.
Yes, with simple faith,
With trust strong and pure,
With a tender love
All things to endure,
Let us be as little children,
Looking up with love,
Giving glory and praise
To our Father above.
