Be still, My precious child,

Know I am here;

Be still, My daughter,

Your God is ever near.

Let not your thoughts travel,

Focus solely on Me;

Feel My embrace of love,

My kiss of eternity.

Come into My arms,

Still your heart and soul;

Come to your Master,

He who makes you whole.

I shower you with graces,

I bless your every day;

Come nigh unto Me, child,

To hear the words I say.

Who is like Me?

Who loves you like I do?

Who has given his all

Out of pure love for you?

No one loves you deeper

Than I do, My child;

My love is eternal,

Yet tender and mild.

Be still then, daughter,

Quiet your mind and heart;

Rest in My presence,

Know we will never part.

I invite you here often,

To these precious moments still;

Bask in My brilliance here,

Delight in doing My will.

Forever we are together,

United for all eternity;

Savor My limitless love,

Sit in stillness with Me.

Rest here in My arms,

Still your heart and soul;

Feel the beat of My heart,

I shall make you whole.

Is it not sweet to be here?

To focus solely on Me?

Feel My embrace of love,

My kiss of eternity.

Yea, be still, My child,

Know I am here;

Be still, and know I love you,

Forever I am near.

My Peace I Give to You

Peace

My Peace I Give to You

Peace

Reflections in the Lake by Tom Curtis

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.”
John 14:27

My peace I give to you, My child,

May it your soul embrace;

My peace I give to you,

Do you feel My showering grace?

Not as the world gives to you

Is the peace that I now give;

It does not waver in the wind,

It endures in the life you live.

Indeed the peace I give you

Endures for all eternity;

Precious is this peace I give,

My child, this do you see?

Come to Me, My daughter,

In My arms I shall hold you;

Here you will feel My love,

You will taste My peace true.

Should the winds rage about,

Should the storms be fierce,

I shall hold you, My child,

In these hands once pierced.

I can calm the ocean waves,

The raging winds I can still;

I ask only that you cling to Me,

That you abide in My will.

Stay nigh unto Me, child,

Do not wander from My way;

I shall pave your path with peace,

Shining upon you day to day.

“Lord, I delight to be with You,

Your presence is my peace;

My life I live for Your glory,

To You all things I do release.”

“What have I to worry, Lord,

When I am in Your arms?

Here nothing my soul fears,

Nothing my heart alarms.”

“The ocean waves may crash,

The angry winds may blow,

Yet peace I know here with You,

As I follow the Way You go.”

Daughter, My heart delights

To hear these words you say;

Yea, cling to Me, your Lord,

I shall grace your pathway.

I shall fill you with My peace

This day and for all eternity;

Precious is this peace I give,

I know, My child, you see.

Not as the world gives to you

Is the peace to you I give;

Lo, I am with you always, child,

In your very heart I live.

My peace I give to you, child,

May it your soul embrace;

Sing of this peace with Me,

Dance in My showering grace.

Labor Day

Labor Day

Poem: Labor Day

Labor Day

Jesus said to them, “My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I, too, am working.” John 5:17

(Send as an Inspirational Christian eCard!)

 ~*~

May peace and rest embrace you

On this Labor Day;

How fervently you labor,

Faithful are you to the Way.

Throughout our great Nation

Our workers we celebrate;

Yet let us not forget also

The One who does create.

Always at His work

Is our dear Father above;

Unceasing He is in His mercy,

Limitless in His love.

With hearts of rejoicing,

Let us praise the Holy One;

Glory and honor belong

To the Father, Spirit and Son.

God gives the power to work,

He gives also the gift to rest;

He works all things for our good,

Indeed all things for best.

My brother, sister and friend,

How grateful I am for you;

Our Father gives us strength

For all the work we do.

Brother, sister, one and all,

Come and rejoice with me;

Rest and refresh on Labor Day,

Lift songs for God’s glory.

For unceasing is His labor,

He is Life, the Truth, the Way;

Let us embrace the rest God gives

On this Labor Day.

Faithful are the Seasons

7-Step Live on PURPOSE Process

Faithful are the Seasons

Image courtesy www.freedigitalphotos.net Simon Howden

“He made the moon to mark the seasons; the sun knows its time for setting.”

Psalm 104:19

(Send as an Inspirational Christian eCard!)

~*~

In the soft hours of morning,

I breathe in the crisp air;

Though Summer is in full bloom,

I feel Autumn is near.

The shift of the seasons

Surely approaches now;

The months faithfully follow

As our Lord God does allow.

Yea, faithful are the seasons

To the Lord’s perfect plan;

Faithful are the seasons,

Yet how faithful is man?

As a day surely ends

At its twenty-fourth hour,

So too do I yield

To God’s timing and power?

In the dawn of morning

Rises surely the glowing sun;

So too am I faithful

To God, the Eternal One?

The days continually march

In weeks ordered of seven;

Faithfully then do I march

To pearly gates of Heaven?

As Summer loses her warmth

To make way for Fall,

So too do I die to self to make

Jesus King of all?

Heed the seasons,

For much wisdom they bear;

He who has ears,

Let him listen, let him hear.

The days and the seasons

Display God’s plan in glory;

May our lives too then

Bear witness of His-story.

Lord, we worship You,

We embrace Your perfect plan;

We are Your humble instruments,

Each woman, each man.

Accept our lives as offerings,

We offer all to You now;

Your Way we will follow,

This, Lord Jesus, we vow.

Yea, as the faithful seasons,

So too may we glorify You;

We yield to Your plan, O Lord,

You are the Reason for all we do.

Book Review of Return to Smith Wigglesworth: A Deeper Evangelism

Return to Smith Wigglesworth: A Deeper Evangelism

Book Review of Return to Smith Wigglesworth

I am honored to have had the opportunity to read and provide a book review of Return to Smith Wigglesworth: A Deeper Evangelism.

A masterpiece! Chigbu Okoroafor brilliantly leads us to the life of Smith Wigglesworth – a life filled with the power of the Holy Spirit! Okoroafor, in the first chapter, details why we can have full confidence in the validity of the Scriptures. His words are edifying and faith-building for the believer as well as compelling for those who do not yet know Christ. In the following chapters He elucidates how Jesus Christ is the one and only Way to the Father and how the power of the Holy Spirit is the same as it was 2,000 years ago. In his insightful exposition, Okoroafor demonstrates also the negative effects of alcohol on mind, body and spirit as well as the deception of spiritualism. Rich with Scriptural references, Return to Smith Wigglesworth provides inspiration and insight to all who long for a deeper, powerful relationship with the Almighty. May we humbly accept his call to return to Smith Wigglesworth, to a ministry of power in the Holy Spirit!

Return to Smith Wigglesworth: A Deeper Evangelism is available on Amazon:

Disclosure: The author sent me a complimentary copy of the book in return for an honest review.

“We love because he first loved us.”

1 John 4:19

~*~

(Send as an Inspirational Christian eCard)

Lord, I feel Your love,

How it embraces me;

I need only see Your Cross,

I need only go to Calvary.

With Your arms outstretched,

Nailed upon the tree,

You shed Your blood for all,

You shed Your blood for me.

I knew You not, my Lord,

Far from You in my sin;

Yet You loved me still,

From You love does begin.

You Yourself are love,

The Source of love indeed;

Surely I see Your love,

For me You chose to bleed.

I love You, my sweet Jesus,

Because You first loved me;

I love You, my precious Lord,

Now and for all eternity.

How can I not love You?

 How can I not see all You do?

Your love transcends thought,

Eternal, enduring and true.

Here I am, my Lord,

I bow before You, my King;

My life I devote to You,

Jesus, You are my Everything.

We love the Lord,

Because He loved us first;

We love You, O Lord,

You quench our souls’ thirst.

When we knew You not,

You died for all our sin;

Your gave Your life in love,

From You life does begin.

With Your arms outstretched,

Nailed upon the tree,

You shed Your blood for all,

You died to set us free.

Lord, we feel Your love,

We sing of Your glory:

“Jesus loved us first,

See His love on Calvary.”

The Truth Will Set You Free

The Truth Will Set You Free

The Truth Will Set You Free

(Send as an Inspirational Christian eCard!)

Listen to My words,
Let them embrace your soul;
The truth will set you free,
Yea, it will make you whole.

Child, why do you wander?
Why do you look for hope?
Seek Me and My word
For freedom eternal in scope.

Nothing this world can offer
Can make you truly free;
Freedom is found in truth,
Freedom is found in Me.

Do you hear the wind now,
As it rustles through trees?
So it is with those of Spirit,
Those who follow as I please.

Whither it goes, whence it comes,
Surely one cannot know;
So too with those of Spirit,
For the Way of God they go.

So come, My child, and follow,
Follow Me and the words I say;
I am Your eternal Guide,
I am the Truth, I am the Way.

I will set you free
In ways you knew not before;
I will make you fly,
Like an eagle you will soar.

Let the truth transform you,
Let it warm your very heart;
Lo, I am with you always,
Trust we will never part.

“Lord, I promise to follow,
Wherever You will go;
I thirst for Your eternal Word,
Your love I long to know.”

“My life I live to please You,
My heart is Yours to keep;
You found me when I was lost,
You awoke me from my sleep.”

“Here I am, my Lord Jesus,
Your truth has set me free;
I shall sing Your praises
Now and for all eternity.”

Daughter, how I love you,
For you My blood I shed;
Drink of My Living Water,
Eat of My Living Bread.

Nothing this world can offer
Can make you truly free;
Freedom is found in truth,
Freedom is found in Me.

Child, rest here in My arms,
Feel My peace and My hope;
My love for you is limitless,
My freedom eternal in scope.

Listen to My words,
Let Me embrace your soul;
The truth has set you free,
Yea, I have made you whole.

The Father’s Love

Dave Moore will join Purposeful Pathway Radio tomorrow, August 22nd at 1:00 p.m. EDT. Enjoy the interview tomorrow and also his guest post below.

The Father’s Love

I would like to talk about some of the miracles that I have witnessed. I probably will not talk about the ones that I wrote about in “The Father’s Love.” But I might at a later date.

     After God answered my prayer for the return of my son in such a miraculous way in “The Father’s Love” I was a completely changed man. I was delivered from smoking, drinking, anger, hatred, lust, and much more. Most everyone that I knew could not believe it. Most thought that it was temporary, that I would “get over it.” It has been almost ten years and I still did not get over it. God’s power is real, awesome, and everlasting.

     I remember the first few Sundays my wife Dorinda and I went to church after my transformation. When the offering plate came around I was giving everything that was in my wallet, hundreds of dollars, nearly my whole weeks pay. You see, God had become real to me. Oh, I always believed in God, but He had become REALLY REAL to me. The creator of everything, EVERYTHING, this earth, universe, us, had taken the time to hear my desperate cry for help, my prayer of surrender of my will for His will, and had “instantly” answered my prayer! Wow!

     After a few weeks I realized that I needed a place to be alone with God. Two of our sons had already moved out and that left us with an empty bedroom. My wife had plans to turn it into a closet for her. I had plans to turn it into a prayer room. A “secret place” for God and I to meet. I won this one. We would begin by giving the room a fresh coat of paint. We began to gather items that we felt needed to be in a prayer room. Pictures, candles, a rustic table for books, anointing oil, special items that would give the room a personal touch. I found a light-up fluorescent cross for the wall ( a tad bit smaller then the one on the wall at church).

     Now it was finally coming together. But, we lacked one more important item, a chair to sit in when reading. I began to visit local furniture stores to scope out that “perfect” chair. I visited several stores. I looked online. I found many that were perfect, but none of them felt just right, so we waited and continued searching. My Pastor Ron Stewart had scheduled a work day at the church for the Saturday coming up. My wife Dorinda and I both went. A few hours after beginning work my wife came and found me and said to come with her that she needed to show me something. Helping to empty out an old storage room she had found an old two seat pew that the church was going to throw away. It was the perfect size, it matched the prayer rooms color, it felt right! We took the pew home and put it in the prayer room. We loved it! That night my wife called her parents in Alabama. Her father the Reverend G.J.Chandler, was the former Pastor of our church and had built the building where we  now worshiped God. He told us that that was the pew that he always sat in before he came to the podium to speak! We had waited for the perfect seating for our prayer room and we had found it. Looking over the pew that night I found a prayer cloth stuck underneath where someone had placed it years ago. It is still there! Praise the Lord!

     Miracle? Maybe. We were so happy that I know I went to bed with a huge smile on my face. The next morning, Sunday morning, I awoke early just at daylight. I could hear this amazing singing, angelic, coming from somewhere. It was soft but penetrating. I slowly crept out of bed and edged my way towards the prayer room. It was coming from inside. I was frozen with anticipation. Should I open the door and look? Did I really believe what I was thinking? An angel singing in our newly finished prayer room? My whole body had goosebumps. Big ones. As I reached for the door handle my eyes must have been as big as saucers! As I slowly opened the door the singing stopped. I sat down in the pew, my body trembling with joy! The Holy Spirit let me know that God was pleased with our new secret place. I wept tears of joy and love for my King! He was pleased!

     I did not mention this to Dorinda until the following week. As she stood in our kitchen I told her about what I had heard. She was amazed. Just then my son David came walking into the kitchen with eyes wide open. He had overheard me telling Dorinda about the angel singing. He had heard it also but was afraid to tell us until he heard me talking about it. Confirmation.

     God loves us so much that He sent an angel to let us know that He loves it when we love Him back! Glory to God!

The clouds dance above me,

The waves caress my feet;

How glorious it is this day

My sweet Savior to greet.

He embraces me with sunshine,

He kisses with morning dew,

He sings to me in the songbird,

He touches all I see and do.

My feet dance to a new rhythm,

My heart beats to a new song,

My spirit soars to new heights,

For with my Savior I belong.

Who is this Man I greet,

Who is He transforming all?

He is my Jesus, my Beloved,

How I delight in His call.

He leads me in green pastures,

He lifts me to the mountain;

Timeless are His treasures,

Forever-flowing His fountain.

Dance with me, dear friend?

Will you join this song today?

The Lord lavishes His love,

As you follow His Way.

I can think of nothing sweeter

Than for the Master to live;

Yea, beautiful are all things

When our all to Him we give.

Dance now to a new rhythm,

Sing with me a new song,

Lift your spirit to new heights,

For with Jesus you belong.

He embraces us with sunshine,

He kisses with morning dew,

He sings to us in the songbird,

He touches all we see and do.

See the clouds dance above,

Feel the waves caress your feet;

How glorious it is each day

Our sweet Savior to greet.

Sweet Jesus,

Your words delight my soul;

Sweet Jesus,

Your light makes me whole.

Sweet Jesus,

Your love embraces me;

Sweet Jesus,

Your Name is symphony.

Sweet Jesus,

Your truth transforms my heart;

Sweet Jesus,

You and I shall never part.

Where I have nothing to fear.

You are my world, my all,

My life and my love;

Fixed my eyes are on You,

Yea, I look always above.

For who is sweeter than You,

More tender and mild?

Who is wiser than Kings,

More innocent than a child?

Sweet Jesus, such are You,

You are Truth, You are Light;

You are the Morning Star,

Shining both day and night.

I shall sing of You

Today and all my days;

My life is about You,

You are my Everything always.

Sweet Jesus,

You burn in my heart as a fire;

Sweet Jesus,

Your will alone is my desire.

You are My Meaning, my Love,
