God Will Make a Way

“Look, I am about to do something new; even now it is coming. Do you not see it? Indeed, I will make a way in the wilderness, rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:19

When the path is foggy,

When my way is unclear,

When the storms begin to rage,

When the darkness is near –

 

Surely it seems

That I will not make it through;

Surely it seems hope is gone – –

Yet then I see You.

 

You will make a way, Lord,

When there is no way at all;

You will make a way, Lord,

And lift me when I fall.

 

When trials overwhelm me,

When I am too weary to move,

You will make a way, Lord,

Your mercy You will prove.

 

You lift me in Your arms,

You carry me when I am weak;

You shine light upon my path,

You give the words to speak.

 

Tenderly You wipe

Streaming tears from my eyes;

Gently You lift my head,

You point upward to the skies.

 

You remind me that the sun

Shines even when clouds do loom;

You remind me that You arose,

You left behind an empty tomb.

 

What have I to worry then

When You, my Lord, are near?

What have I to worry?

Whom have I to fear?

 

For my Jesus is with me,

My God will make a way;

The night He will turn to light

Shining as the bright of day.

 

Yea, God will make a way

When there is no way at all;

God will make a way

And lift me when I fall.

 

I know surely in the storm

I will make it through;

For You are here with me – –

And all I need is You.

 

You light my path,

You make my way clear;

I rejoice even in the storms,

For my sweet Jesus is here.
