My daughter, I love you,

May you feel this in your heart;

My child, I adore you,

As I have from the start.

 

Before the foundation of earth,

Before the filling of the sea,

Before the setting of the sky,

You were loved by Me.

 

Before the stars shone above,

Before the sun lit the sky,

Before the moon glowed,

You sparkled in My eye.

 

Yes, I saw you before these,

Before all of creation;

I saw the day of your birth,

A day of celebration.

 

Since I love you so,

How can you ever fear?

Will not the One who made you

Always be there?

 

I shed My blood for you,

What will I then restrain?

To win your love and life

I withdrew not from the pain.

 

Nothing is too much, child,

To show My love for you;

To die upon the Cross

For you I chose to do.

 

I ask you now, daughter,

To embrace the love I give;

Open your heart to Me,

Let Me ignite the life you live.

 

Let Me fill you with love,

Let Me kiss you with grace,

Let Me hold your hand,

Let Me shine upon your face.

 

Rejoice in the truth

That your God loves you so;

His love for you on the Cross

Does radiantly show.

 

Before the foundation of earth,

Before the filling of the sea,

Rejoice to know, my daughter,

You were loved by Me.

 

Yes, daughter, I love you,

Motivational Minute - Focus - Christian Life Coaching Tip from Caroline Gavin of Purposeful Pathway Christian Life Coaching

Tip for Today: Focus

One of the key challenges to success is not the lack of motivation but rather the abundance of distraction. As much as we may think distractions are external, we can control our vulnerability to them. Each morning, before setting out on assignments, define the most important tasks of the day. Determine to accomplish these tasks no matter what. Eliminate clutter in your workspace, turn off phone ringers (if possible) during focused work time and close out the email tab. Focusing energy creates phenomenal results. When we are clear about our goals and focused on achieving them, we bear incredible fruit by God’s grace.

Scripture Verse: “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the realm of the dead, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom.” Ecclesiastes 9:10

Action Step: What can you do today to increase your ability to focus on the important tasks at hand?

Treasures I have for you, My child,

Come now and listen to Me;

I shall share about your home,

Your place in eternity.

 

No eye has seen, no ear has heard,

No human mind has conceived

Things God has prepared for those

Who love Him and have believed.

 

Do you see the sun shining above?

Lovelier is the heavenly light,

For I am the Sun in heaven –

There is only day, no more night.

 

Do you smell the flowers

Wonderfully fragrant in their bloom?

Yet sweeter is the aroma of heaven

Ever your heart to consume.

 

Do you feel the summer rain

Kissing gently your skin?

Yet more refreshing is My Water,

Washing you of all your sin.

 

Do you hear your children’s laughter,

Do you hear them sing?

Yet lovelier is the sound of heaven,

Of angels rejoicing in their King.

 

Do you taste the fruit of harvest,

How sweet to enjoy its yield?

Yet far sweeter to taste heaven,

The fruit of the Elysium field.

 

Though your eyes cannot see it,

Though your ears cannot hear,

Know that heaven will be yours,

Indeed your home is near.

 

Should this dwelling on earth

Bring trouble and grief to you,

Remember heaven is your home;

This is your citizenship true.

 

Rejoice with Me, My child,

Feel the depth of My love;

I shed My blood for you

That you may join Me above.

 

Nothing can separate us,

I am yours, you are Mine;

Celebrate with Me, My child,

This union intimate and divine.

 

For treasures I have for you,

I will lead you to your home,

Tip for Today: Work for the Lord

Often in the day-to-day activities we lose focus of the Lord. Yet Proverbs 16:3 reminds us to “commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.” Our work is more fruitful and satisfying when we commit our every step to Him. Vulnerable as we are to distractions, it is helpful to set up systems to remind ourselves of our eternal focus.

Perhaps you can paste a Scripture verse on the wall of your workplace; perhaps you can set your timer for several periods of refreshment with God throughout the day; perhaps you can find a colleague who commits to praying periodically with you. Experience a heightened joy and a deeper peace as you work more closely with the Lord and more passionately for His purpose.

Scripture Verse: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men…” Colossians 3:23

Action Step: What system or systems can you establish to remind you frequently of the eternal purpose of your work?

Tip for Today: Be Comfortable with the Uncomfortable

Improvement involves change, change involves growth, growth involves discomfort. If you are ready to reach the next level, embrace the discomfort – the growing pains – that accompany. God will grant you divine comfort, but you must first allow yourself to grow uncomfortable.

Scripture Verse: “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is–his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:2

Action Step: In what area do you need to grow uncomfortable? What one thing can you do today to push past the comfort zone?

“And he said to them, ‘Why are you afraid, O you of little faith?’ Then he rose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. And the men marveled, saying, ‘What sort of man is this, that even winds and sea obey him?’” Matthew 8:26-27

When the storm clouds roll in,

When the raging winds blow,

When upon the windy gusts

The fallen leaves go –

 

I know I am safe,

For I am in Your arms;

Your strong embrace comforts,

It uplifts and it warms.

 

Jesus, You are with me

Both in sunshine and in rain;

Jesus, You are with me

In joy and in pain.

 

“Yes, daughter, I am with you,

Never to leave your side;

I live within your heart,

And in Me you abide.”

 

“Do not fear at all

When the winds do rage;

Am I not the King

Who reigns age to age?”

 

“Do not worry

When the rain begins to fall;

Am I not the Creator

Who made one and all?”

 

“Do not cower, child,

When the thunder roars;

See from My heart

How love and mercy pours?”

 

“Smile and rejoice,

Keep close and take heart;

Remember I am with you,

We will never part.”

 

“Did I not die for you

Upon the Cross of Calvary?

Will I not protect you

Now and for all eternity?”

 

Yes, Lord, I trust You,

In Your arms I will stay;

Nothing will harm me,

For You guide the way.

 

In Your strong arms

I am safe and secure;

You comfort with promises,

You warm with love pure.

 

So when storm clouds roll in,

When the raging winds blow,

My heart is Your dwelling,

Come abide with me;

Fill me with Your Spirit,

I am Yours eternally.

 

Fashion this dwelling,

My Lord, as You see fit;

The center is the Throne

Upon which You shall sit.

 

Lay a foundation of humility,

Erect the beams of trust;

Rid my heart of worries,

From the cobwebs and the rust.

 

Open the windows

To Your eternal truth and light;

Grant that it is brilliant

Dawn of day or dark of night.

 

Warm this dwelling

With the fire of Your love;

Decorate it with virtues,

Shining treasures from above.

 

May Your peace reign

In the waterfalls that flow;

May Your joy abide

In the flowers as they grow.

 

May the angels worship

As they sing around Your throne;

My heart is Yours to keep,

My Lord, I am Your own.

 

In the center of it all,

By the throne on which You reign,

Shines the glory of the Cross:

Your love intersected with pain.

 

How can I deny You, Jesus,

When Your Cross I see?

Reign here in my heart, Lord,

Reign here eternally.

 

I give You my life, my heart,

I desire to give no less;

Your Kingship in my life,

My Jesus, I humbly confess.

 

How I love You, Lord,

Transform me to fit Your desire;

My heart is Your dwelling,

Your flame of love its fire.

Yea, my heart is Your dwelling,

“…that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory…” Ephesians 3:17-21

How much do I love you?

This, My child, you ask of Me.

How much do I love you?

Child, I love you infinitely.

 

Do you see the stars

Shining in the heavens above?

Innumerable they are,

Yet vaster is My love.

 

Do you see the leaves

Donning the many trees?

Can you imagine the drops

That fill the many seas?

 

Beyond comprehension

Are both to the mind;

Yet far greater is My love,

Indeed this you will find.

 

Can you feel the sun

Warming you and the earth?

Yet far warmer is My love,

Love that gives rebirth.

 

Can you smell the fragrance

Of flowers in the spring? 

Yet far more fragrant is love

Of your Savior, your King.

 

Can you count the sand grains

Carpeting the ocean shore?

Countless they are to you,

Yet I love you even more.

 

The love for your own children,

Does it not beat strong?

Yet far greater is My love,

Far more wide, deep and long.

 

The best way to show My love

Is on the Cross of Calvary;

There I shed My blood for you

As I died upon the tree.

 

Like a lamb before its shearer

To the slaughter I was led;

Because I love you so, child,

My blood for You I shed.

 

Not one drop of blood

Did I withhold from you;

I poured of Myself completely

That your life I would renew.

 

A thorny crown I wore,

My hands and feet pierced with nails;

Do you see the depth of My love?

Over all it prevails.

 

Yet, as I suffered,

I thought of you, child, with love;

I prayed for mercy and grace

To stream to you from above.

 

How much then do I love you?

Child, I love you infinitely.

If ever you forget how much,

Come to Me here on Calvary.
