Why Total Wellness?

Michael Fenton will join Purposeful Pathway Radio tomorrow, August 15th at 1:00 p.m. EDT. Enjoy the interview tomorrow and also his guest post below.

Why Total Wellness?

Isaiah 46:4 even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you;
I will sustain you and I will rescue you.

3 John 1:2 Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.

Proverbs 3:1-2 My son, do not forget my teaching,
but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you peace and prosperity.

Why Total Wellness?

Total Wellness is the state we achieve when our mind, body and soul come together as one in health. For some they believe if they eat right and go to the gym they will achieve “total wellness” such is not the case. If our soul or spirit is not aligned with God’s word and we are not living according His word we are not and cannot achieve “total wellness”. The Bible reminds us: “My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you peace and prosperity” (Proverbs 3:1-2NIV).

We can also take comfort in knowing we are not alone on our journey to “total wellness” for God has told us: “Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you” (Isaiah 46:4NIV). He only asks that we do our part and He will help us along; we just need to have patience and realize that our journey takes time and not become discouraged when we don’t lose weight as quickly as we would like or when we have days when we don’t feel like working out or eating a nutritious meal. We all have those times!

So why should I work to try and achieve this? Because that is what God wants for each of us, a life that is filled with happiness in Him, a healthy mind, and a healthy body. The Bible reminds us:  Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well. (3 John 1:2NIV)

All for You, My Lord Jesus

(Send as an Inspirational Christian eCard)

~*~

All for You, my Lord Jesus,

All for You this life I live;

All for You, precious Master,

All to You I give.

All my wishes, all my thoughts,

Every word, every desire,

All I am, all I will be,

All I own, all I acquire.

Every accomplishment, every goal,

Every triumph, every trial,

Every glory, every heartbreak,

Every tear and every trial.

All for You, my Lord Jesus,

All upon the altar I do place;

I long only to do Your will,

I long only to see Your face.

To gain the whole world,

What would it mean to me?

Everything is nothing

Unless I bring You glory.

For You, my Lord, are love,

You are life, You are the way;

Priceless are Your glances,

Precious each word You say.

Nothing lovelier shall I find

Than my Savior in His glory;

I live then for You alone,

I share with all Your story.

All for You, my Lord,

Yea, Master, take everything;

I crown You with my kisses,

I embrace You as my King.

My heart beat sings of You,

Music is the sound of Your Name,

Lord, You transformed my mind,

Never to be the same.

How can I not sing of Jesus?

How can I not give Him all?

He is the love of my life,

I shall follow His lyrical call.

Every accomplishment, every goal,

Every triumph, every trial,

I give all to my sweet Jesus,

Singing His praises all the while.

All my wishes, all my thoughts,

Every word, every desire,

All I give to my Beloved,

He is my heart’s burning fire.

Yea, all for You, Lord Jesus,

All for You this life I live;

Take everything, take me,

My Master, all to You I give.

Father Knows Best

God the Father Knows Best

The following is a guest post by Ann Musico of 3D Vitality. Ann is a Certified Biblical Health Coach and will join Purposeful Pathway Radio tomorrow, August 10th, from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m. EDT. If you cannot join us live, you can enjoy the archive at Purposeful Pathway Radio . I invite you to read Ann’s inspiring post and learn more about this wonderful woman of God.

Father Really Does Know Best

God the Father Knows Best

Genesis 1:1

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”

~*~

As a Biblical health coach, I am fascinated by how God’s principles of health and wholeness are daily being recognized and proven scientifically.  John G. Lake, a missionary, faith healer and mighty man of God has said, “science is God’s way of doing things,” and I wholeheartedly agree!  While some say science supersedes God’s Word, I respectfully disagree.  I’ve actually heard people say, ‘You can’t take what God says literally because He wasn’t a scientist!’  Science is the natural progression, the outgrowth of understanding the “how” behind the “what” of God’s Word.  Only now do we have sophisticated enough equipment to reveal and understand these magnificent mysteries.  Our God is most definitely a God of order.  He sets principles and laws in motion concerning not just our spirits, souls and bodies, but our physical world as well.  He is concerned with wholeness, the root meaning of the Hebrew word, shalom, in every area of our lives.

As I read about medical research and studies, it continually brings scriptures to light, and I am constantly amazed by how practical and relevant His Word truly is.  Consider:

How Deuteronomy 31:19 related to probiotics;

How laughter really is “medicine” (Proverbs 17:22);

How speaking the truth in love (Ephesians 4:11) extends life;

How negative emotions can rot the bones (Isaiah 58:11) and positive emotions can heal them (Proverbs 16:24);

How Abel’s blood (Genesis 4:10) could literally cry out to God and SO much more.

Who could possibly know better the intricacies of how our bodies are supposed to function, then the Creator of those bodies Himself?  I invite you to join me in an eye-opening, faith-building journey studying scripture and science side-by-side.  I guarantee we will see the unmistakable imprint of God’s wisdom, power and love as we, too, say – “Father really does know best!”

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Jeremiah 29:11

 (Send as an Inspirational Christian eCard!)

“I know the plans I have for you,

I know the things in store;

Remember that I love you,

My child whom I adore.”

“You need not ever worry,

You need not ever fear;

Remember I am with You,

Lo, I am always near.”

“Look onto the horizon,

See the sun shining bright?

Child, I walk with you,

I beautify all in My Light.”

“Take My hand, daughter,

In faith walk close to Me;

You shall see the good I plan

Now and for all eternity.”

In saying these words,

Jesus smiles and takes my hand;

How I look forward to seeing

All my Lord has planned!

Yea, Lord, I shall follow You,

Never to fret nor fear;

What have I to worry

When You are always near?

The trees clap with joy,

The clouds parade in the sky,

The flowers dance around me,

The birds sing on high.

Surely the world around

Whispers of Your great plan;

O, the sweet things You do,

I praise You, Son of Man.

Lead me where You wish,

I follow You wherever You go;

Joy is being in Your presence,

Only love You show.

On my life horizon,

I see You, the Son, shining bright;

Jesus, I live for Your glory,

I live forever in Your Light.

Surely I need not worry,

I need not ever fear;

You, my Lord, are with me,

Yea, You are always near.

I trust the plans You have,

I yield to all You have in store;

My Lord, I give You my life,

I long only to give You more.

(Send as an Inspirational Christian e~card!)

Like a child,
Innocent and sweet,
May I listen to You
Humbly at Your feet.

Wide-eyed and amazed,
Faithful and full of love,
Like a child may I look
Always Above.

Longing for You,
For Your protection and care,
Like a child may I cling
Keeping You to me near.

When You call my name,
May I hear home in Your voice;
Like a child running home,
In You may I rejoice.

When I fall and stumble
May I run quickly to You,
Like a child may I trust
In all that You do.

When victory I see,
May I know ‘tis not my own;
Like a child may I recall
I work never alone.

When darkness enshrouds,
When sun embraces with light,
Like a child may I see You
In day and in night.

Yea, like a child,
My Lord, ever may I be;
Yea, I am Your child
For all eternity.

May pride be far from me,
May humility ever reign;
May I trust as a child
Even in trial and in pain.

How I long for You,
For Your protection and care,
I cling to You, my Jesus,
Keeping You to me near.

Wide-eyed and amazed,
I marvel at Your love;
Like a child I look to Abba,
My Father Above.

How thankful I am, Lord,
That You and I did meet;
May I be Your child forever,
Innocent and sweet.

Jesus, Son of God

Lisa Buffaloe, an author, speaker, happily married mom, and host for Living Joyfully Free Radio, will share on Purposeful Pathway Radio tomorrow, Wednesday, August 1st, from 1:00 – 1:30 EDT. Enjoy her guest post below.

What Will You Do with Jesus, Son of God?

Image courtesy freedigitalphotos.net: watcharakun

He came from Heaven above. A gift of love.

God born grace and mercy in the flesh of a man.

Jesus, Son of God.

Born to die, the ultimate sacrifice for man’s sin. Crucified, died, and rose again. Nail-scarred hands offering forgiveness and eternal life.

Jesus, Savior of the World.

What will you do with God’s Son?

Will you accept Him?

Will you follow Him?

Will you obey Him?

Will you listen to Him?

Will you love Him?

Will you live your live for Him?

What will you do with God’s Son?

When your time has ended on this earth and you stand in front of God, what will you answer when He asks? What did you do with My Son?

“For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life” (John 3:16 AMP).

God is Good…all the time!

(Send as an Inspirational Christian eCard!)

Gentle song of the bird,

Her voice echoes in the trees,

Refreshing whisper I hear

In the soft summer breeze.

Though the clouds roll in,

Lord, I know You are here;

Though blue skies turn gray,

I feel You are near.

For in the bird’s sweet song,

In the wind caressing me,

I hear Your soft whisper,

“I reign eternally.”

Yea, God is good,

God is good all the time;

I trust all things

Are by His reason and rhyme.

Fear not then do I

When the thunder roars;

Worry not then do I

When torrential rain pours.

For My Lord reigns,

Even storms are in His will;

All things He perfects,

All my needs He does fill.

Whether the sun shines

Or the rain does fall,

I know my sweet Jesus

Is in control over all.

Glorious truth to know,

One of peace and rest:

My Lord works all for good,

Indeed all for the best.

I feel now the raindrops

Shower upon me;

Surely these gems of water

Bring my God glory.

They quench the thirsty earth,

In multitudes they sing,

“Glory, Glory to God,

Of all kings, He is King.”

I shall join the storm

In its glorious song,

“To God be the glory,

To Him all things belong.”

Yea, my own soul

To Him I completely give;

I pour my all for Jesus,

For Him alone I live.

When the clouds break,

When the rain stops falling,

I see His rainbow in the sky,

I hear my Lord calling.

“Beloved child of Mine,

I hear your song for Me;

One day, My daughter,

You shall see My full glory.”

“Until then, dear child,

Embrace both sun and rain;

With complete trust in Me,

Sweet peace you will gain.”

I smile at the rainbow,

I savor the sound of His voice;

Yea, I trust You in all things,

In You, Lord, I rejoice.

In the bird’s sweet song,

In the wind caressing me,

I hear Your soft whisper,

“I reign eternally.”

When the clouds roll in,

Lord, I know You are here;

You are love, You are life,

I have nothing to fear.

I hear again the bird’s song,

Her voice echoes in the trees,

“God is good all the time,

All to Him we release.”

Dancing to Fireworks

Cindy Hirch of Sharing Hope will share tomorrow, Friday, July 27th from 1:00-1:30 p.m. EDT on Purposeful Pathway RADIO. Get to know Cindy and her passions in her guest blog post that follows.

Dancing to Fireworks

Those who know me know my love for music and that I love to dance. As a child my mother could always find me in front of the TV dancing and singing. Wednesday was a day of total inspiration for me because of a song; it also inspired this blog post. Listening to the new country version of an old Lionel Richie classic “Dancing on the Ceiling” I was most definitely in the zone dancing, singing and having a grand ole’ time all by myself. The song made me smile and think about where I had been just a year ago. It’s talking about having a party, and for me the party was to celebrate shedding the grave clothes of doubt, fear and uncertainty that had once held me captive on a deep level.

The prior year had been preparation for my “coming out” party. There were so many wonderful people who had influenced me and had spoken life into my weary soul. It was taking shape and I didn’t even realize it at the time.

Dancing to Fireworks

It was an awakening of Cindy producing fireworks like a 4th of July show. I was coming alive from the inside out. I was dancing on the ceiling and beginning to move to a new beat, one that was uplifting and life-producing. Within a week passion began to explode. The words “don’t hold back” kept coming to me.

As I began to move with each intentional step I was dancing into my passion and loving every moment. Some of the dance steps were those of a slow dance as I stepped cautiously into new territory, but it was a dance of victory and discovery, moving inside out and upside down. Even cancer couldn’t stop my dance steps.

As I write this tears flow freely. They are not tears of sadness, but of joy because I now can dance, dance, dance…

I would like to acknowledge two very special guys who played a significant role in my journey. Thank you Rob Clinton of www.180coach.com and Joel Boggess of www.4pointscoaching.com for all you’ve invested in me. My heart is full of gratitude!

Grace for the Char-Baked

Grace for the Char Baked

My dear friend and sister Lisa Buffaloe just released a book: Grace for the Char-Baked. Lisa is a speaker, blogger, writer, radio host for Living Joyfully Free Radio, and – according to her – a woman extremely limited on culinary skills. Her eclectic past blesses her with a backdrop to share openly how she would be char-baked without God’s grace. Read more about Lisa and her recent release.

Grace for the Char-Baked

With “Char” as a nickname, Charlotte Wilson’s cooking skills are more incendiary than culinary. Charlotte is the last person on earth who should run a bake sale. But when her plans of running in a charity marathon are side-lined by a broken foot, her old flame’s suggestion becomes a challenge amidst her friend’s simmering doubts.

Luke Hammond has spent the last five years studying and preparing to travel overseas as a medical missionary. When his high school sweetheart unexpectedly comes back in his life, Luke wrestles with what he feels God calling him to be and what he wants to do. His reappearance rekindles an attraction that could char Luke and Charlotte’s heart or cook up the perfect romance.

Lisa Buffaloe is joyfully in love with God, a Christ follower, blogger, speaker, radio host for Living Joyfully Free Radio, and a happily married mom of a son in college. She writes, “I’m not a perfect wife, perfect mother, or perfect at anything. I’ve made stupid mistakes, sinful mistakes, and often traveled down the wrong roads. God never gave up on me, never let go, and He welcomed me home when I stumbled back seeking His grace.” Lisa’s past experiences–molestation by a baby-sitter, assault, rape by a doctor, divorce, being stalked, cancer, death of loved ones, seven surgeries, and eleven years of chronic illness from Lyme Disease–have blessed her with a backdrop to share God’s amazing, healing, restoring love.
